How to be blessed?

Tithes and offerings is the primary means of supporting the ministry, however, we also participate in other means of giving. Giving is a means of being blessed. God gives to us and we should want to give back unto Him. To paraphrase St. Luke 6:38, it says, “Give and it shall be given unto you, good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over…” These are the means of giving the church has and the opportunities you have to receive an abundance of God’s blessings.

Tithes & Offering

We teach that all should tithe off of his/her gross and give God a little tip for just being God. Abraham paid the first tithe to Melchizedek (Genesis 14:20). We honor our tenth and enhance our covenant with God by giving to Him by faith. Malachi 3:10 states, “Bring ye all the tithe into the storehouse, that there may meat in My house, and try Me now this day, says the Lord of Host.” For example, if a person’s income is $400 a week then his/her tithes should be $40 plus an offering.

You may ask why do we tithe, what is the purpose of tithing, and will tithing shield and bless my life? Well, here are the answers.

• We pay tithes to show that we honor God, trust Him, and keep our covenant with Him.

• The purpose of the tithe is to go to the Levites (pastor) as their inheritance for working in the church. Now, the tithe is brought to church to pay the expenditures of the ministry and push the message of the ministry. Also, it is to provide the pastor and church leaders with funds to support and sustain the Gospel and facility.

• The blessing and shielding that tithing gives you can be found in Malachi 3:11. God states that He will rebuke the devourer for your sake and He will not let the fruit of your ground be destroyed; nor will your vine fail to bear fruit in your field. Tithing yields to heavenly protection. If you have not been practicing tithing correctly and faithfully, ask God for His forgiveness because of your unawareness in the importance of tithing and move forward doing the right thing. God is merciful and forgiving. And, because of your new faith in tithing, God will become delighted with you because you are now honoring and trusting Him.

Pastor's Love Gift

This offering helps support our pastor and first lady. This is an offering that is above tithe and offering. This is to support the man and woman of God and is used to plant a seed in their lives so that their personal needs are taken care of. Read I Corinthians 9:9-14 and I Timothy 5:17

Sacrificial Offering

This will be done at the beginning of each month. We ask for a sacrificial offering to help satisfy the mortgage. The sacrificial offering is based on the scripture in I Chronicles 21:24 which states “I will not give to the Lord which costs me nothing.” This type of offering is an act of surrendering to God. This type of offering leads to debt free living.

General Offering

This is a freewill offering in which you give above tithe and offering. We ask you to allow God to tell you what to give and not give what you want to give. This is a spirit led offering and will occur every service. This offering is designed to express our thankfulness to God for who He is and for what He has done for us.
